Sporty's Bar
About This Spot
Walking into Sporty’s Bar feels like stepping into a familiar neighborhood gathering spot where comfortable couches meet the steady hum of cheering fans on TV screens scattered throughout the room. It’s the kind of place where the energy gently swells with each game, but never pushes you out of your seat. There’s a friendly, unhurried rhythm here — the kind that invites you to settle in, catch up with old friends, or join a lively conversation with strangers drawn together by the shared thrill of the sport.
The atmosphere strikes a balance between casual and spirited. Whether it’s a quiet afternoon or the excitement of a big game night, the welcoming vibe remains constant, with a touch of warmth from the familiar clink of glasses and the savory scent of comfort food hitting the air. It’s a spot that feels lived-in and well-loved, where local stories and laughter mingle as easily as the drinks behind the bar.
Food at Sporty’s is part of the unfolding experience rather than a destination in itself. Plates arrive brimming with familiar favorites — hearty slices of meat-topped pizza or the crispy, indulgent pull of fried pickles — each bite echoing the casual joy of good company and satisfying flavors. You might find yourself drawn to a buffalo chicken calzone or the golden crisp of zucchini fries, dishes that feel made for sharing or savoring during the game’s ebb and flow. The menu offers enough variety to keep regulars curious and newcomers comfortable, with each item served up alongside attentive, personable service that remembers just what you like.
While weekends and big game nights can bring a bit of hustle, there's a grounded friendliness here that never feels rushed. It’s a spot where stories unfold over cold beer and cider, where the pace leaves room for connection and savoring the little moments — the cheer of a perfect play, the crunch of a burger and onion rings combo, the warmth of a memorable evening spent among familiar faces.

The Sportsmens plays a crazy part in my life's arc. Definitely top 10 best places in Langdon. Good pizza, cold beer.

I really should have taken a before photo but my buffalo chicken calzone looked too good! And it was great (really shouldn't have eaten the whole thing)!!! Our waiter was great; courteous, prompt, and kind - great customer service! Highly recommended! Came back and got the same thing several months later...still delicious! Remembered to get a before pic this time.

A nice clean spot to get food & drinks. The service is slow & so is the time it takes to get the food during peak hours.

So far, I've tried the Buffalo chicken calzone, and the chicken bacon ranch calzone both were very delicious! I've also tried the deep-fried mac and cheese bites, and the garlic bread sticks both were equally good starters, in my opinion.
